What does ACRA do?
ACRA is the regulator of business registration, financial reporting, public accountants, and corporate service providers in Singapore. Their purpose is to create a secure and dynamic business environment in Singapore. Their role is to generate synergies between the monitoring of corporate compliance with disclosure requirements and regulations of public accountants performing statutory audits.
ACRA is also responsible for:
- Administering matters related to accountants, companies, and business name registrations;

In addition, your Business Profile will be sent to you. This profile will serve as your new company's identity card.
You will also be required to fulfill several post-incorporation obligations, such as opening a corporate bank account, registering for GST, applying for business licenses, hiring staff, and many more, depending on your business nature.
